Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Streatham has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our operations or supply chains. Man with Van Streatham is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and in full respect of human rights.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Streatham has a clear zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in any form. We do not tolerate forced labour, servitude, debt bondage, child labour, or any exploitation of vulnerable individuals. This commitment applies to all parts of our business, including our workforce, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the provision of transport, logistics, packing, storage, and associated services.
All managers and staff are expected to uphold this zero-tolerance policy and to act immediately if they suspect any instance of modern slavery. Any breach of this policy is treated as a serious disciplinary matter and may result in termination of employment or contract, as well as reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Man with Van Streatham provides local and regional transport and moving services. Our supply chain includes vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, packaging and materials suppliers, storage facilities, and other service providers. We recognise that certain parts of the logistics and transport sector can present a higher risk of labour exploitation, particularly where temporary or migrant labour is engaged.
We are committed to working only with suppliers and subcontractors who share our values and who can demonstrate that they operate in accordance with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
To reduce the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain, Man with Van Streatham undertakes proportionate due diligence on new and existing suppliers and subcontractors. This may include requesting information on their own modern slavery policies, codes of conduct, and labour standards, as well as confirmation of compliance with relevant legislation.
We reserve the right to conduct audits, assessments, or site visits where appropriate, particularly where we identify a higher risk due to geography, type of work, or labour profile. Where non-compliance or areas of concern are identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe. If a supplier fails to demonstrate adequate improvement or cooperation, we may suspend or terminate the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
We aim to ensure that those working in key roles, such as operations, procurement, and management, are aware of the risks and indicators of modern slavery. Training and guidance are provided so that staff can identify red flags, understand reporting routes, and appreciate their responsibility to act. We also promote a culture of openness in which concerns related to exploitation or unethical conduct can be raised without fear.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Man with Van Streatham encourages all employees, workers, subcontractors, and business partners to report any concerns about modern slavery, human trafficking, or unethical labour practices. Concerns may relate to our own operations or to any organisation connected with our supply chain.
Reports can be made to line managers or senior management, in person or in writing. Individuals may choose to raise concerns anonymously if they wish. All reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly and sensitively. We do not tolerate any form of victimisation, retaliation, or disadvantage against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Man with Van Streatham recognises that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process and requires continuous improvement. We regularly review our risk assessments, supplier controls, and internal processes to strengthen our approach and to reflect emerging best practice and legal developments.
This Statement is reviewed and approved at least once every year by the management of Man with Van Streatham. As part of the annual review, we evaluate the effectiveness of the measures we have in place, consider any incidents or concerns raised, and identify further actions to enhance our prevention and detection of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement reflects the position and commitments of Man with Van Streatham for the current financial year.
